Ellone has always been very closely tied with the three of the four major sorceresses in Final Fantasy VIII: Adel, Edea, and Ultimecia. But what exactly is her relationship with them?

Adel
Adel has always been interested in Ellone and her abilities. I believe this is because of Ultimecia's power over Adel, willing her to do things she normally would not do. Adel is basically doing Ultimecia's bidding when trying to acquire Ellone. Or just wants her for her own corrupt reasons.
The thing is, that Ellone and Adel never really liked each other. Adel thought Ellone was useful and Ellone...well, she does not want to be used for what Adel was planning. Not much love shared by these two.

Edea
This is a little more complicated. Edea was thought bad during the first half of the game, but turns out to only be manipulated by Ultimecia. Edea the Matron and Ellone share a very warm relationship. Edea does everything to protect little Ellone, but it sort of backfires on her. Now, Edea the Sorceress and Ellone do not share a very warm kinship. Edea - posessed by Ultimecia - wants Ellone's ability and Elle does not agree to that.

And it all goes back to Ultimecia. Actually, it is really hard to tell a relationship, when the two have never really met each other. Just through Ultimecia's possessions. Ultimecia is greedy, and wants Ellone's power to achieve time compression where she will be the ultimate ruler. What does Ellone do? She does not comply for the longest time, until it seems time compression is the only way to defeat Ultimecia and get rid of the only shadow in her life.
